Sound Healing with Tibetan Bowls: How It Works and Why You Might Need it.

Sound healing with Tibetan bowls is a deeply restorative practice that works through vibration. Everything in the universe vibrates — including our thoughts, emotions, and physical body. When stress, illness, or negative energy disrupts our natural frequency, Tibetan bowls help bring us back into balance.

How Tibetan Bowls Are Made

Authentic Tibetan bowls are hand-beaten from seven metals:

Copper, Tin, Iron, Zinc, Brass, Mercury, and Silver (sometimes Gold). Copper and tin make up most of the blend.

The metals are melted and poured into a mould to form a thick disc. This disc is repeatedly heated, hammered, reheated, and shaped until it forms a bowl. It’s then washed in Himalayan salt, cooled in water, milled for even thickness, filed smooth, and polished.

This process is what gives handmade bowls their rich, resonant vibration.

Why Tibetan Bowls Work

According to the Law of Vibration, everything is constantly moving and vibrating. A healthy human body vibrates at around 68–72 MHz. Stress, tension, fear, and illness lower this frequency.

Tibetan bowls help raise and restore your vibration by:

  • Triggering deep relaxation
  • Balancing your energy system
  • Harmonising the cells
  • Reducing stress, anxiety, and pain
  • Supporting healing on physical, emotional, and mental levels

The sound of the bowls shifts the brain into theta waves, a state linked with healing, clarity, emotional release, and recovery from burnout or exhaustion.

Energy, Mindset & Attraction

Your thoughts and emotions also have frequency.

Positive thoughts raise your vibration, while negative thoughts lower it.

The Law of Vibration works together with the Law of Attraction — meaning what you think and feel is what you draw into your life.

Buddha summarised this perfectly:

“What you think you become. What you feel you attract. What you imagine you create.”

Chakras and Energetic Balance

The chakras are energy centres that send and receive information. Each chakra influences different areas of your life:

  • Root – survival
  • Sacral – emotions & sexuality
  • Solar Plexus – personal power
  • Heart – love
  • Throat – communication
  • Third Eye – intuition
  • Crown – consciousness

Stress, fear, trauma, or limiting beliefs can block a chakra, leading to physical tension, emotional imbalance, or repetitive life patterns. Releasing these blocks helps restore harmony in the body and mind.

Negative Energy & Energy Protection

Negative energy can come from people, environments, or your own thoughts. If you’re sensitive or work in the healing field, you can absorb this energy without realising it.

Signs you’ve picked up negative energy include:

  • Sudden low mood
  • Unusual tiredness
  • Irritability
  • Looping negative thoughts
  • Overreacting
  • Disturbed sleep
  • Feeling heavy or foggy

Ways to protect your energy:

  • Let go of anything you pick up during treatments
  • Keep your space clean and calming
  • Spend time with positive people
  • Laugh often
  • Take relaxing baths
  • Journal to clear the mind
  • Spend time in nature
  • Practice meditation, chanting, or visualisation
  • Use bowls or tingshas to clear your space
